Mexican Almond Spread

Serves 2


1 cup almonds
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 small sweet onion
1 small clove garlic
chili powder (to taste)
1/2 tsp. cumin (or to taste)
water to thin for desired consistency

The evening before, place the almonds in a tall glass and fill with water.  In the morning, drain and rinse.

Place drained almonds in the food processor.   Add onions and garlic.  Process and add a little more water to consistency you desire.  You can use this as a spread o a dip. 

Serving suggestion:  Add homemade salsa and serve on romain leaves.
